STEVEN DE SCHRIJVER PUBLISHES BELGIAN CHAPTER IN “THE PRIVACY, DATA PROTECTION AND CYBERSECURITY LAW REVIEW"

Astrea corporate and technology partner Steven De Schrijver has published the Belgian chapter in “The Privacy, Data Protection and Cybersecurity Law Review” (Fourth Edition, Ed. Alan Charles Raul), which has been published by Law Business Research in its “Law Reviews”-series.

The Law Reviews give readers a business-focused insight of some of the key substantive and procedural issues, as well as an analysis of important cases, deals and hot topics in each field of law.

The Law Reviews help practitioners to look beyond their own borders where they may see opportunities to practise ever more actively, exploiting strategic solutions and understanding options in foreign jurisdictions which are different from their home forum.

In the Belgian chapter, Steven discusses the most recent Belgian legislative and regulatory developments with respect to privacy, data protection and cybersecurity law, as well as some recent case law.

Astrea Corporate / M&A partner Steven De Schrijver has contributed as the Belgian expert to the IR Global Virtual Series publication “Overcoming Barriers to Win-Win: Smoothing the deal process”.

This publication gathers advice from 9 experienced cross-border negotiators from a variety of jurisdictions (UK, The Netherlands, Germany, USA, Spain, Belgium, New Zealand, Finland and Italy), sharing their knowledge of the most effective negotiation techniques they use and expand on the actions and attitudes that are least useful.

They also discuss tried and tested ways of overcoming obstacles in the path of deal completion, explaining why those techniques work and the lessons they have learnt overcoming difficult situations.

Finally, the experts will also share deal anecdotes from either end of the success spectrum, demonstrating how easily things can go wrong if barriers to win-win become insurmountable.
